75 Wedding Entrance Songs for an Epic Grand Entrance (2025)

Your grand entrance is the moment the party officially starts. The doors open, your names get announced, and you walk in as a married couple for the first time while everyone cheers.

Here's what I've learned after 100+ wedding entrances: the energy of this moment sets the tone for your entire reception. Walk in to something boring and people politely clap. Walk in to a banger and people lose their minds.

Most couples overthink the first dance and underthink the entrance. This is backwards. The entrance is actually easier to nail—you just need a high-energy song and 30 seconds of confidence.

The Three Types of Grand Entrances

Type 1: The High-Energy Banger

What it is: You walk in to something with huge energy—people cheer, you high-five guests, maybe dance a little, definitely look excited. Best for couples who want to set a party tone immediately.

Type 2: The Walk-Out Classic

What it is: More composed entrance. You walk in confidently while something iconic plays. Less dancing, more swagger. Best for couples who want to feel like champions without choreography.

Type 3: The Choreographed Routine

What it is: Full planned dance entrance with your bridal party. Think viral YouTube wedding videos. Best for couples and bridal parties who can actually dance and have rehearsed. Warning: If your bridal party can't commit to practicing, don't attempt this.

Pro Tips From DJ Thriller

The song choice matters less than your energy. I've seen couples walk in to "Uptown Funk" looking bored, and couples walk in to "Can't Stop the Feeling" like they just won the Super Bowl. Energy wins.

Don't pick something only you know. If guests don't recognize the song, they won't react. Familiar songs get bigger reactions.

Think about your intro. Most entrance songs have a buildup before the main beat drops. You want to time your actual entrance to that drop.

High energy + short walk = great entrance. If your walk from the door to the dance floor is 30 seconds, you need 30 seconds of energy. If the song is 4 minutes, we're fading it once you're in position.

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Should we do a choreographed entrance?
Only if BOTH of you want to AND your bridal party will actually practice. I've seen these go viral (in the good way) and I've seen them fall apart publicly. Know your crowd.
What if we want something no one knows?
Your entrance won't get the same reaction. Familiar songs = bigger cheers. That's just reality. If you don't care about the crowd reaction, go for it.
How long should the entrance song be?
You only need 30-60 seconds from when you enter until you reach your spot. We're fading the song after that. Don't stress about song length.
Can we use a different song than our bridal party?
Yes. Most couples do. Bridal party gets a fun song, you get YOUR song. Just make sure the transition flows.
What if we want something mellow, not high-energy?
That's fine—just know you're setting a more relaxed tone for the reception. "Here Comes the Sun" works for a mellow entrance. It won't get the same cheers as "Uptown Funk," but it might match your vibe better.
